Job DescriptionThe Senior Consultant Relations professional will play a pivotal role in driving institutional asset growth by cultivating and managing relationships with key investment consultants. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to both internal stakeholders and external consultants, promoting the firm’s investment capabilities across traditional asset classes. The role requires a deep understanding of the institutional marketplace, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of influencing consultant recommendations and driving new business.
Responsibilities- Strategic Relationship Management: Develop, enhance, and maintain relationships with global, national, and regional investment consultants. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned consultant relationships, ensuring consistent and proactive engagement.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging consultant relationships. Drive AUM growth by elevating the firm’s brand and securing product approvals and positive ratings.
- Consultant Engagement: Lead and coordinate consultant meetings, performance reviews, and due diligence sessions. Defend underperforming strategies with transparency and confidence.

Partner with investment, distribution, product, marketing, and compliance teams to deliver high-quality consultant-facing materials and ensure alignment on messaging and strategy. - Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor positioning, and consultant activity to inform business development strategies and product positioning.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to the creation and distribution of thought leadership content, including white papers, case studies, and event sponsor ships.
- Data & CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of consultant interactions, ratings, and opportunities in CRM systems. Analyze consultant databases to identify trends and opportunities.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in institutional asset management, consultant relations, or institutional sales.
- Established relationships with key investment consultants and a strong reputation in the institutional marketplace.
- Deep knowledge of investment products (fixed income, equities) and the consultant landscape.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial mindset.
- Proficiency in CRM/database tools (e.g., Salesforce, eVestment) and Microsoft Office Suite.

$160,000 to $200,000
The starting salary offer will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s education, job-related experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location, and market factors. This position is also eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
