Role OverviewThe Procurement Category Manager will support enterprise procurement transformation initiatives while owning category strategy, sourcing execution, and supplier performance. This role works closely with a Coupa Implementation Project Manager, internal stakeholders, IT, and suppliers to ensure category strategies align with Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Supplier Information Management (SIM), and Contract Risk Assessment (CRA) processes within Coupa.
This role is ideal for a category leader who is experienced in Coupa-enabled environments
, supplier enablement, and driving compliance and adoption during system and process change.
- Own and manage assigned procurement categories end to end
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned to business goals and P2P governance
- Partner with the Coupa Implementation PM on:
- Catalog strategy and compliance
- Adoption of P2P processes
- Lead sourcing activities including RFPs, RFQs, and supplier negotiations
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms in partnership with Legal
- Support supplier onboarding, enablement, and catalog setup within Coupa
- Drive compliance with preferred suppliers and buying channels
- Analyze spend data to identify savings opportunities and compliance gaps
- Serve as a change agent during procurement transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with IT, integration teams, and functional stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and controls
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
- Experience working in a Coupa-enabled procurement environment
- Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
- Experience with supplier enablement and catalog management
- Proven contract negotiation and supplier management experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working in large, complex, or matrixed organizations
- Experience supporting Coupa implementations or optimizations
- Familiarity with:
- Experience partnering with:
- Procurement transformation teams
- IT and system integration teams
- Background in regulated or enterprise environments
