Street Light Data, a subsidiary of Jacobs, pioneers the use of Big Data analytics to illuminate how people, goods, and services move, empowering smarter, data‑driven transportation decisions. The company applies proprietary machine‑learning algorithms to measure travel patterns enabling complex transportation problem solving on its SaaS platform, Street Light InSight®.
Base pay range$/yr – $/yr.
LocationRemote – U.S.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a product roadmap that balances innovation, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the transportation planning and operations industry through self‑learning, support of internal experts and proactive interaction with sales, prospects, and customers to support product requirements.
- Understand the customer requirements and market opportunities for Street Light, proactively gathering and synthesizing information from internal and external sources about market trends, competitive offerings, prospect and customer unmet needs, product requirements and willingness to pay.
- Collaborate effectively within the Product Team and across Engineering to support product release planning, schedules, and roadmaps, and work with the Data Science and Data Engineering teams to scope, estimate, and plan implementation.
- Maintain transparency and education on current and future product plans for Executives, Sales, Customer Success, Support and others with a need to know.
- Communicate and collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Solution Engineers, Sales, and the Executive Team to disseminate product knowledge, plans and statuses, ensuring new product education or training, marketing materials or promotions, and prospect and/or customer communications can be completed effectively.
- Travel from time to time to meet with prospects, customers, attend trade shows or visit other Street Light Data offices as needed.
- 3+ years of Product Management experience.
- Track record of effectively gathering and transforming complex market and customer data into prioritized product roadmaps that drive business growth.
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal and presentation—and ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Experience leading cross‑functional collaboration and end‑to‑end project management, leading multiple projects at a time and prioritizing high‑impact activities.
- Comfortable presenting succinctly to senior executive management, large audiences and technical practitioners.
- Proven track record of creating customer‑facing content that aligns to buying stages and increases conversion rates.
- Self‑starter that thrives in a fast‑paced environment impacted by evolving needs of the dynamic transportation industry and enjoys problem‑solving.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, synthesizing complex data to deliver clear, actionable insights.
- Open, honest, direct and respectful communicator, a collaborative team player.
- Demonstrated good business and technical judgment, numerically fluent with ability to create frameworks for data analysis, develop plans and manage timelines, balancing competing priorities to meet business and financial objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or equivalent degree.
