Our Supply Chain and Procurement organisation operates in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, delivering best‑in‑class communications equipment and solutions to customers worldwide. We strive to be a trusted advisor to our business partners, providing innovative solutions that maximise value for their sourcing needs. This role requires a procurement and supplier expert with strong commercial and contractual experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
You will implement high‑quality, innovative, and cost‑effective methodologies to support company and departmental objectives. The position involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, fostering a cooperative environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication, strong organisational skills, and effective time management are essential.
This role requires a proactive, results‑oriented individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the procurement lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories, negotiating favourable contracts, and managing key supplier relationships. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders at all levels and the ability to influence decision‑making.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation:
Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies, including leading competitive bidding processes (RFx), negotiating favourable terms and conditions, and managing contract lifecycle. Secure optimal pricing, quality, and service levels. - Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance reviews and manage supplier performance to meet business objectives. - Cost Reduction & Process Improvement:
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, process improvements, and best practices. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate the value delivered. - Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders, from individual contributors to senior leadership, to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies with overall organisational goals. Present confidently and persuasively. - Contract Management:
Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to renewal and termination. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. - Analyze market trends and procurement data to inform strategic decision‑making and support annual cost‑reduction goals.
- Candidate must have at least 8 years of direct experience in supplier management and strategic procurement.
- Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, engineering, business, or a related field (engineering strongly preferred).
- Technical knowledge in mechanical engineering is an advantage.
- Strategic thinking, effective problem‑solving skills, strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with proven ability to work with people from various levels, functions, key stakeholders, and suppliers’ management.
- High proficiency in MS Office / Google Documents; specifically, advanced MS Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Prior project management experience will be an added advantage.
- A good team player, a person with integrity, mature and self‑motivated.
