Job Type: Hybrid, Part-Time, reports to Southside Market Board of Directors Co-chairs

Pay Range: $24-28 per hour, based on experience; approximately 24 hours a week

Southside Market is Chatham’s new community-owned produce market and cafe. We opened our store at 433 E 79th St in October 2025. At Southside Market, we offer everyday affordable fresh produce while prioritizing local sourcing, hiring and ownership. Our cafe will serve as a gathering space with a rotating menu that showcases local entrepreneurs and chefs.

We are seeking a driven, talented Business Operations Associate (Biz Ops Associate) to support our mission to offer fresh food and business ownership in Chatham. The Business Operations Associate (Part-Time) will be the financial, operational, and administrative backbone of Southside Market & Café Co-Op during a critical stabilization period. This role focuses on disciplined execution, accurate reporting, and timely coordination across finance, payroll, inventory, and governance systems.

Reporting directly to the Board Co-Chairs, the Business Operations Associate prepares clear, periodic updates for the Board Finance Committee and ensures leadership has the information needed to make informed, time-sensitive decisions. This is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented role centered on reliability, follow‑through, and transparency rather than strategy‑setting or people management.
