Hotel Chocolat has built a strong position as the UK's favorite premium chocolate brand. The head of sales for Hotel Chocolat US will provide strategic sales leadership as part of the US leadership team and will lead the development and execution of our channel strategy with key US partners. They will be working alongside members of Mars Wrigley North America sales teams to execute this new route to market as well as connecting with key specialty wholesale partners and distributors to bring Hotel Chocolate's reach across the US.
They will ensure sound business analysis of channel proposals, volume and earnings performance tracking and analysis, delivery of key initiatives, marketing and trade investment as well as delivering on key sales KPI financials. They will be responsible for locking in year 1 programs as well as building for the future.
Bachelor's degree preferred. 5+ years of strong sales and leadership capabilities coupled with the ability to work across the North American market to get things done. Influencing without authority, motivates teams at all levels within the HC and MWNA business to achieve objectives. Customer or channel management with strong understanding of JBP and annual plans. Leading and building diverse teams. Key understanding of annual execution plan and 5-year IVCP inputs.
Trade management and S&OP, S&OE annual planning. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Well-developed organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities FP&A experience. Nice to have: multi-channel or specialty channel experience. SRM/Pricing, customer marketing and sales infrastructure/operations experience a plus.
Key Responsibilities ?
To partner with US GM and US leadership team to develop short- and long-term strategic partnerships with key sales teams, customers and channels. Initial priority to lock in Y1 programming within specific channels with heavy focus on back half 2026 while developing 35-year JBP roadmap alongside key partners and channels to drive our 2 key business strategies:
Gifting the World and Velvetising the World. Own reseller channel demand signal and short/long term promotional plans for S&OP and S&OE. Work alongside finance and marketing to build the 5-year value creation plan (IVCP) over the mid- and long-term horizon, mapping out key scenarios for profitable growth within the reseller channel. Organize for the future: as P&L supports, organizes and create diverse teams to support channel growth within the sales function.
Key cross functional leadership within the HCUS leadership team, bringing enterprise and breakthrough thinking across all functions with expertise within the sales function.
