What You Will DoAs an Outreach Development Specialist, you will drive partnership, enrollment, and revenue growth within the K‑12 and Early Childhood sectors. This role blends mission‑driven advocacy with high‑level business development, requiring a professional who can navigate the university ecosystem while delivering the efficiency of a seasoned sales professional.
Essential Responsibilities- Strategic Partnership & Sales Growth
- Identify & Secure: Proactively scout and secure new partnership opportunities within assigned K‑12 and Early Childhood verticals.
- Negotiate & Close: Lead the delivery and negotiation of contractual agreements in coordination with the Assistant Director of Partnerships.
- Results‑Driven Execution: Own your territory’s growth, translating NLU’s strategic plan into localized outreach that meets enrollment and revenue targets.
- High‑Stakes Presentation & Communication
- Dynamic Presentations: Design and conduct high‑impact information sessions for a range of stakeholders—from one‑on‑one meetings with center directors to board‑level presentations for school districts.
- Persuasive Storytelling: Transform complex academic programs into compelling, value‑driven narratives that inspire institutional commitment.
- Internal Diplomacy: Build and strengthen connections with NLU’s internal academic partners to keep offerings aligned with market needs.
- Operational Excellence & Time Management
- Strategic Time Management: Prioritize your calendar between lead generation, client meetings, and internal collaboration for maximum territory impact.
- Data Integrity: Maintain day‑to‑day activity documentation within NLU’s Salesforce CRM for total leadership transparency.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor landscapes to identify untapped opportunities.
- Experience: 3‑5 years in sales or business development with a proven background in partnership or enrollment growth.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Mindset: Results‑driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets and KPIs.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills along with experience using Salesforce CRM.
- Communication: Mastery of presentation delivery and the ability to influence executive‑level decision makers.

Exceptional time‑management abilities and the discipline to manage a remote or field‑based portfolio independently.

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $47,365 to $66,311 annually. Salary decisions depend on candidate facts and circumstances. Offers are based on budgetary considerations, job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, market considerations, tenure, and internal equity.
