Transportation Account Manager (LTL exp. req.) Description

Our client in the transportation and logistics industry is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to join their team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for managing 10 primary accounts and 20-30 transactional accounts, leveraging your upselling and cross‑selling skills to drive revenue growth and strengthen client relationships. You will analyze data to identify process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Our client is looking for a detail‑oriented and results‑driven professional with at least four years of account management experience in the supply chain/logistics industry. Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Analyze both existing and potential business opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer experience
  • Troubleshoot and investigate logistics issues
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of account management experience in the logistics industry required
  • LTL industry experience required
  • Upsell/cross‑sell account experience required
  • CRM experience required
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills required
