Account Manager, Drug – Grüns
We’re thrilled you’re interested in joining us! The Account Manager, Drug will own and scale Grüns Drug channel as we expand into Walgreens and CVS. This role is essential to the success of our upcoming launches and long‑term growth in Drug retail.
As the dedicated business owner for CVS and Walgreens, you will manage strategy, execution, performance, and relationships end‑to‑end. Your focus will be on buyer relationships, promo planning, feature execution, and performance analysis—shifting conversations from status updates to opportunity‑driven growth.
Responsibilities- Own and manage the CVS and Walgreens businesses end‑to‑end, serving as the primary point of accountability for strategy, execution, and results.
- Build and maintain strong buyer relationships across Drug retailers, expanding from transactional updates to strategic, insight‑led conversations.
- Establish a consistent monthly business review cadence, delivering clear sales updates, performance insights, and forward‑looking opportunities to buyers and internal leadership.
- Lead Drug promo planning and analysis across in‑store and digital, ensuring promotions are efficient, profitable, and aligned with national programs (Aisle, Ibotta, retailer‑specific activations).
- Own feature execution for Drug retailers, including endcaps and off‑shelf placements—brief creation, asset coordination, launch management, proof of execution, and post‑promo recaps.
- Build and maintain a steady pipeline of incremental Drug opportunities, including new SKUs, expanded distribution, off‑shelf features, digital visibility, and category expansion.
- Create and maintain Drug’s single source of truth, including promo grids, key dates, SKU setup, asset requirements, and execution guidelines.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Replenishment to ensure seamless launches, strong execution, and accurate reporting.
- 5+ years of CPG sales experience, with at least 3 years directly managing CVS and/or Walgreens.
- Proven track record of owning buyer relationships and delivering measurable results (revenue growth, SKU expansion, features, distribution gains).
- Deep understanding of CVS and/or Walgreens economics, category dynamics, merchant strategies, and operational expectations.
- Experience leading Drug merchandising initiatives, including selling‑in products, executing features, and managing promotions.
- Highly analytical and comfortable synthesizing large datasets into clear, actionable insights for buyers and leadership.
- Fluent in syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) and skilled in Excel/Sheets and presentation tools.
- Excellent communication—confident, clear, and convincing—both internally and externally.
- Thrives in high‑ownership environments and is comfortable jumping between strategy and hands‑on execution.
- Act like an owner, fully accountable for P&L, relationships, and execution.
- Lead with insights and ideas, not just status updates.
- Be obsessed with retailer nuance—anticipate CVS and Walgreens needs before they’re voiced.
- Move fast, test thoughtfully, and continuously improve based on results.
- Balance rigor and creativity to unlock incremental growth opportunities.
- Maintain a "nothing is below me" mindset—willing to do whatever it takes to win.
