Accountabilities
- Work closely with TMS provider to manage carrier relationships, issues
- Understand and analyze transportation market intelligence tools to help drive procurement strategies and processes
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities within carrier network and collaborate with the teams to action
- Regularly monitor carrier spend and ensure Mark Anthony is tracking to hit fiscal year COGS goal
- Ensure carriers are meeting minimum KPI expectations
- Prepare data for business reviews
- Carrier KPIs – on-time performance, tender acceptance, routing guide compliance
- COGS
- Onboarding of new carrier partners
- Overall performance of carrier network to ensure partners are meeting or exceeding KPI metrics
- Facilitation of annual procurement event
- Carrier network (awards, selection, development)
- Business decisions based on carrier service levels
Carrier rates
Critical Stakeholders & Relationships- Internal – Customer Supply Chain Planners, Fulfillment
- External – Partner carriers, TMS provider
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or relevant field
- 3-4 years progressive experience in logistics, transportation
- Experience working with TMS platforms required
- Proficient in Excel
- Understanding of freight market conditions
- Attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, multi-tasking and prioritization
- Ability to analyze and articulate large amounts of data and identify trends
- Cross-functional collaboration with greater Logistics team, and impact to business
- Impact of carrier relationships and long-term partnerships
- Procurement skills (strategy development, RFP, analyze market trends)
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence in the office at least four days per week to support collaboration and team engagement.
CompensationCompensation offered to prospective Team Members has taken internal equity into consideration and can vary depending on a positions’ location. The final agreed upon wage may vary based on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the individual.
- Competitive annual salary from $84,000 to $100,000, based in Illinois
