Pay Range: $57,137 - $71,427 per year

Summary

The Administrative Manager will independently oversee the daily administrative operations of the Rush Center for Well-Being at the Sankofa Village Wellness Center (Rush@Sankofa) under the Community Health Equity and Engagement (CHEE) department. Responsibilities include office management, general operations related to purchasing, legal affairs, human resources functions for the department facilities management, communications, process and project management. The Administrative Manager position requires a motivated, well-organized, and conscientious individual who can manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Required Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Five years’ experience in a management/supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Excellent time-management skills and follow-through.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, including an excellent understanding of the department’s complex processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, make good decisions and organize at a high level.
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of how to manage and direct multiple offices in a hospital/university setting.
  • Excellent decision-making and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability to work with numerous personalities and positions.
Responsibilities
  • Executes the vision of CHEE with a high commitment to excellence, through strategic planning and oversight of key initiatives.
  • Serves as liaison to department staff, Rush departments, Sankofa Wellness Center property management as appropriate to organize, coordinate and ensure timely and accurate completion of all required processes and facilities needs.
  • Oversees Rush@Sankofa Admin office expenses to meet budget targets; manage service facility requests of Rush-Sankofa space.
  • Assists the Rush@Sankofa managers with projects including programmatic, operational and process planning and execution; partnerships and budget management.
  • Provide scheduling assistance to Director, Community Health Improvement.
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of operations through process improvements.
  • Manage and facilitate vendor processing, purchasing requisitions/approval process and proper maintenance of monetary incentive tracking and reporting.
  • Manage, develop and maintain orientation and onboarding of new staff to Rush@Sankofa; provides in-service training to staff as needed to ensure efficient practices and compliance with RUMC departmental policies.
  • Provides leadership and direction on the continuous improvement of office functions.
  • Ensures all office equipment is functioning and maintained in an appropriate manner.
  • Promotes a positive and productive environment, encourages teamwork and communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
