The Administrative Service Clerk may be required to perform other duties or special projects as needed and may be responsible for mail distribution as well as performing various administrative and clerical duties, including transcription and data input, which may be required to support this function. This individual should proactively work in conjunction with all members of the Financial Counseling team to ensure applications and referrals are handled in a timely manner.
This may include data gathering to resolve a patients account issues, identify and minimize financial risk to the hospital and medical group, and promote accuracy and timeliness with coordinating a prompt resolution to patients’ accounts. The Administrative Service Clerk will also work in conjunction with the established Medicaid Eligibility/Enrollment vendor to assist in the gathering of documentation and information related to patient enrollment in third-party programs.
- Greets and establishes positive first impressions with department patients, establishing a role as patient advocate, in accordance with Patients First service standards. Provides leadership in “Patients First”, the Guiding Principles and “AIDET” standards through modeling behaviors and coaching others.
- Organizes paperwork for patients by gathering the necessary materials and monitoring progress.
- Documents all patient interactions in designated platform(s).
- Completes other duties as assigned by Director or Manager.
- Adheres to company, divisional and departmental quality standards.
- Identifies opportunities for and participates in process improvement activities.
- Ensure all documents are sorted appropriately.
