Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr

An expanding law firm is seeking an Executive Assistant / Event Planner to support their Chicago office while managing internal events and hospitality. The role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and brings precision, discretion, and creativity to events. The salary range is $90,000–$110,000, with a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, Life Insurance, Disability Coverage, 401(k), and Commuter Benefits.

Responsibilities of the Executive Assistant / Event Planner:

  • Coordinate and execute firm meetings, internal functions, and gatherings from planning through completion
  • Manage logistics including venues, catering, vendors, room setup, and guest experience
  • Oversee budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships related to firm functions and meetings
  • Coordinate audiovisual needs and technology setup for meetings and presentations
  • Lead on‑site execution and address issues in real time to ensure smooth operations
  • Supervise and direct support staff or service providers involved in meetings and firm functions
  • Assess outcomes and recommend improvements for future initiatives

Qualifications of the Executive Assistant / Event Planner:

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating internal firm meetings and functions in an in‑house setting
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in event and meeting planning
  • Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and contractual agreements
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support firm meetings and initiatives
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment; familiarity with audiovisual or meeting technology is a plus
