PT Morning Show Phone Screener & Administrative Assistant

Objective:
Under the supervision of the National Program Director, this person would support the national radio show, Karl and Crew, as well as provide administrative support to the National Program Director.

Essential Functions
  • Work with the hosts and producers to ensure high-quality listener interaction everyday on the program including actively managing all aspects of the phone screening software program, screening all listener calls for “Karl and Crew” show from 6-9AM weekdays, and answering incoming calls from listeners in a kind and considerate way. Calls will need to be processed quickly and clearly by making notes about caller quality and content by means of computer data entry.
  • Assist in live show and post-show requirements, including help with Facebook, Simpletexting and on-air giveaways.
  • Maintain and update written web content by refreshing the “Resource Page,” updating SharePoint and Ektron daily, and uploading audio to Sound Cloud.
  • Coordinate scheduling of meetings, travel arrangements, and campaign orders (e.g., Share, 48

    HOI) to support program operations.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between the Programming and Production teams, ensuring timely and accurate information flow.
  • Assist with project management efforts by coordinating team activities, tracking deadlines, and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
  • Attend meetings, record accurate minutes, and maintain documentation and records as required.
  • Support the National Program Director by conducting research, analyzing data, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Excellent phone and email presence
  • Able to understand and speak the English language
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer, word processing and data entry skills
  • Proficiency with processing and editing digital audio files
  • Ability to multitask and troubleshoot potential computer problems
  • Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
  • Some college or radio broadcasting experience.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This is a part-time position that typically works Monday through Friday between 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. No travel is expected for this position.
