Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to establish and lead our client's core accounting function during a period of rapid growth.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys building processes from the ground up and creating structure in a fast-moving environment.

As the first dedicated accounting hire, you will take ownership of foundational accounting operations, implement scalable systems, and help prepare the organization for future audits.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, exercises strong professional judgment, and is energized by helping scale a high-growth fintech or payments organization.

• Build and manage core accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger oversight
• Develop and document accounting policies aligned with best practices and audit readiness
• Evaluate, select, and implement accounting systems and financial tools to support scalability
• Design and implement internal controls across key financial processes
• Prepare for and coordinate external audits, including supporting documentation and schedules
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements
• Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
• Support expense management and cost control as the company grows
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses to inform leadership decisions

• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred), with exposure to high-growth or technology clients
• CPA preferred (licensed, passed exams, or actively pursuing)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including revenue recognition and complex transaction structures
• Experience evaluating and implementing accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, Sage Intacct, Quick Books, or similar ERP platforms)
• Familiarity with fintech, digital payments, or digital asset environments is strongly preferred
• Ability to build processes and controls in an evolving, fast-paced setting
