Brilliant Management Resources has been engaged in the search for a Senior Accountant for one of our clients in the financial services industry, located in Downtown IL
. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial statements, support annual audits, and assist with consolidation of foreign entities. Our client is looking to hire immediately and has opted to open this position on a contract to hire basis. Qualified candidates will be considered immediately and begin the interview process.

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
• Support financial, insurance and retirement plan annual audits
• Maintain and oversee general ledger
• Aid in development of annual business plan
• Create and analyze reports for upper management
• Process journal entries and prepare account reconciliations
  
  Assist with consolidation of foreign entities
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues
• Assist with systems development and testing
• Special projects and other accounting duties as assigned

• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• 5+ years of related experience
• Goal-oriented, good problem-solving skills, reliable
• Advanced Excel skills
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is a must
