The RoleThe primary responsibility of this position is the oversight of the commercial services accounting team and their assigned processes within the Hyatt monthly and quarterly close. This includes preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, billings, and analytics. The Senior Accountant will also identify projects to improve accounting processes and serve as a customer service point of contact for various business units and groups.
- Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, billings, or analytics
- Field and resolve inquiries from management, other departments within Hyatt, and external auditors
- Contribute to compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley, including documentation of process areas and testing of key controls
- Prepare and/or review quarterly schedules for external reporting
- Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects as required
- Interact significantly with finance teams, business units, and external auditors throughout the year
- Serve the needs of various business units and departments within Hyatt
Experience Required:
- 3‑5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or an equivalent business or functional role
Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA – Certified Public Accountant (optional)
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Financial ERP Systems experience (Oracle preferred)
Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
The salary range for this position is $78,500 to $108,500. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards and an annual bonus.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of performance of work. Pay will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
