Senior Accountant

Our client is a fast-growing, innovative fintech startup that is building a payment platform redefining how money moves globally across quickly growing marketplaces.

This is an opportunity to work alongside senior leaders and build an accounting function from the ground-up. This role gives the opportunity for full ownership, working closely with ambitious founders, and help shape a product used by firms around the world.

• In this role, you’ll take ownership of the company’s core finance and accounting operations, leading month‑end close, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• You’ll build and document accounting policies from the ground up, implement strong internal controls, and help prepare the company for external audits.
• As the company scales, you’ll play a critical role in selecting and implementing accounting tools and ERP systems that streamline operations.
• You’ll also partner closely with leadership on budgeting and forecasting, while driving smarter expense and cost management across the business.

Requirements:

• CPA strongly preferred (or actively pursuing)
• 3-5+ YOE at a Big 4 accounting firm working with tech or high-growth clients or experience with or passion for crypto, digital payments, or Web3
• Strong technical accounting skills (revenue recognition and complex transactions)
• Experience implementing accounting systems (Net Suite, Quick Books, Sage Intacct)
