Technical Accounting Manager

Location: Elgin, IL
Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000 per year
Experience Level: Manager

We are seeking an experienced SEC / Technical Accounting Manager to lead and enhance our financial reporting and technical accounting processes. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can challenge existing reporting and processes and drive continuous improvement.

• Oversee SEC reporting, including preparation and review of 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings
• Research and implement technical accounting guidance for complex transactions
• Partner with leadership to evaluate and improve current reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

• CPA designation required
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Background in public accounting and corporate mix preferred; straight corporate with SEC experience acceptable
• Currently in a Manager-level role
• Strong technical accounting and SEC reporting expertise
• Ability to challenge and improve processes, not just maintain status quo
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
