Location: Aurora, IL (In‑Office)
Salary Range: $70,000–$90,000

Our client, a well‑established organization in the Aurora, Illinois area, has engaged our firm to identify a Project Accountant to join their team. This is a full‑time, in‑office opportunity supporting project financial management and partnering closely with project leadership to ensure strong financial performance.

The Project Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial health of multiple projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a stable environment with direct exposure to project managers and senior leadership.

• Oversee project‑level accounting, including budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking
• Monitor project costs and analyze variances against budget
• Prepare and review monthly project financial reports
• Support project billing, revenue recognition, and contract compliance
• Partner with project managers to provide financial insight and guidance
• Assist with month‑end close and audit support as it relates to project accounting
• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and internal policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5+ years of experience in project or cost accounting
• Strong understanding of job costing and financial analysis
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Industry experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or professional services is preferred

• Competitive base salary of $70,000–$90,000, based on experience
