Job Title: Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Pay: $57,000 - $63,000 / year

Benefits:

Reports to: Director of Accounting/Controller

Overview

Regular duties include ensuring that monies collected are properly processed in YARDI. Coordinates collection needs with site – level staff and reporting on collection activity for the entire company. Processes all NSF notifications received and notify the property managers, process all resident refunds. Reviews company Deposit Accounting share drive emails from all Property Managers. Must possess superior communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Work Activities

Accounts Receivable Coordinators will perform regular tasks like, but not limited to:

  • Post check payments received at the Corporate Office to bank and apply payments to tenant accounts.
  • Process all Property Assistance program payments that come in on the 1st& 15thof the month (using upload template into Yardi) from the following:
  • Chicago Housing Authority – via email
  • Chicago Charities – via email
  • HACC – Housing Authority of Cook County-pull reports via website
  • DuPage County
  • Lakeview
  • Monitor and process all NSF and rejected payments.
  • Review & correct misapplied payments on ledgers.
  • Coordinate HUD accounting functions.
  • Process all refund requests sent by the Property Managers.
  • Perform move out accounting, collections, and write-offs.
  • Maintain an elevated level of internal and external customer service by going “above and beyond” the call of duty to help when needed.
  • Foster harmony in the workplace and promote a positive image of the company.
  • Perform any other tasks as directed by the employee’s supervisor.
