- Perform daily billing activities in support of partners, attorneys, and clients.
- Prepare and edit proformas, generate timecard summaries, update matter and timekeeper rates, and produce client reports as requested.
- Ensure the timely, accurate, and approved billing of monthly invoices; proactively follow up with partners and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
- Interpret and apply client Outside Counsel Guidelines and fee arrangements to ensure compliance.
- Process electronic invoices accurately and efficiently, resolving rejections or reductions in a timely manner.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with partners, attorneys, legal secretaries, accounting staff, vendors, and clients while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of two years of relevant billing or accounting experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of general accounting principles as they relate to billing and accounts receivable.
- Strong numerical aptitude with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with client billing agreements, Outside Counsel Guidelines, and fee arrangements preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic billing systems, third-party e-billing vendors, and invoice troubleshooting.
- Experience with Elite 3E and eBilling
Hub a plus. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with partners, attorneys, and internal teams.
