Client-Facing Senior Accountant | Full-Cycle Accounting | Flexible, Balanced Work Environment

Our client, a growing mid-market accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to work directly with small to mid-sized businesses across industries including construction, manufacturing, and professional services. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to your clients, managing their full-cycle accounting needs while helping them strengthen their financial operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage multiple client engagements, overseeing the full accounting cycle: month-end close, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and sales tax
• Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring timely, accurate deliverables and proactive communication
• Review financial reports and supporting work papers to ensure quality and compliance with firm and professional standards
• Identify and investigate accounting variances; provide practical insights and recommendations
• Travel to client sites as needed to strengthen relationships and provide on-site support
• Collaborate with partners to prepare proposals, fee estimates, and service plans
• Help develop team members by delegating work appropriately and offering training and mentorship
• Research complex accounting transactions and summarize findings in management reports
• Take part in other advisory or project-based assignments as needed

Education And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ year of experience in private or public accounting, with full cycle accounting experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• Strong analytical ability and critical thinking skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word
• Familiarity with Quick Books Online, Xero, Sage Intacct, and other accounting ERP systems
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
