Senior Accountant
Location: Chicago, IL (Downtown)
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office)
Industry: Professional Services / Consulting
Compensation: $95,000–$110,000 base salary
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established professional services firm in downtown Chicago, has partnered with our recruiting firm to identify a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role supports multi-entity accounting operations and offers strong exposure to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA preferred (or in progress)
- Strong Excel skills and prior professional services experience a plus
