Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee a Tax Accountant and interns supporting sales, use, and other transactional tax activities
• Review sales and use tax filings prepared by the tax team
• Support the preparation of sales, use, and related indirect tax returns as needed
• Assist with compiling documentation and support for sales and use tax audits
• Review monthly use tax calculations and complete related account reconciliations and analysis
• Research changes in tax regulations and assess potential impacts on the business
• Support the preparation of federal and state partnership tax returns
• Manage and respond to notices from taxing authorities
• Assist with ongoing tax compliance activities, including tax research and documentation
• Handle written and verbal communication with field teams and internal stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• At least 2 years of experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting, including hands‑on experience preparing sales and use tax returns
• Experience using tax research platforms such as RIA Checkpoint or CCH Intelli Connect
• Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables, with the ability to track and manage data across multiple files accurately
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

Typical hours / WLB:
Standard business hours

• Occasional busy periods around filings or deadlines, but not a grind culture
• Leadership is intentional about reasonable workloads and respecting personal time
• Focus on getting the work done efficiently vs long hours

Compensation: $90k–$110k base

• Bonus / equity: 10%
