Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing financial services team in Chicago. The ideal candidate is eager to build their accounting career, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings a strong foundation in technical accounting. This role will support daily accounting operations, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and compliance processes.

• Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting work papers
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Review and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Finance and Operations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
