Our client is a growing healthcare organization focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered services through a scalable and operationally sound platform. The company is privately held and well-capitalized, with a strong emphasis on financial discipline, compliance, and operational efficiency. As the organization continues to grow, they are investing in building out a strong accounting and finance function to support long-term stability and expansion.
The Role
The Accounting Manager will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient accounting processes. This position offers meaningful ownership across core accounting functions and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements within a growing healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily cash transactions and cash reconciliations
- Own Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including vendor management and payment execution
- Handle invoicing and related account reconciliations
- Support treasury-related activities, including cash management and internal controls
- Assist with tax-related work, including preparation and filing of 1099s
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards
- Partner with internal stakeholders on accounting processes and operational improvements
- Support audits and provide documentation as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a corporate or healthcare environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
Master’s degree preferred - CPA strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, cash management, and AP
- Exposure to tax compliance and reporting, including 1099s
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
