Senior Accountant

Aegis is partnered with long-standing manufacturing company in Chicago who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting and finance team. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, month-end close, and manufacturing cost accounting, while partnering closely with plant leadership to support operational and financial decision-making.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced accountant who has worked in a manufacturing environment, understands inventory and standard costing, and is looking for continued growth in a stable organization with modern processes.

• Corporate accounting, financial reporting, and analysis
• Month-end and year-end close activities
• Manufacturing accounting including inventory, standard costing, and variances
• Fixed assets, prepaid schedules, and accruals
• Partnering with plant operations on cost analysis and reporting
• Supporting audits and strengthening internal controls
• Occasional travel (approximately once per quarter)

• 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally at a senior or advanced level
• Manufacturing accounting experience with inventory management
• ERP experience (SAP preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities
