Join our high‑performance accounting team at our Chicago downtown office. As an Accounts Payable Specialist
, you’ll play a crucial role in managing full-cycle AP processing within SAP—ensuring accuracy and timeliness in vendor payments, expenses, and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee updates to vendor records, including new vendor setup, revisions, and deactivation requests.
  • Evaluate payment files and proposals to confirm optimal use of electronic disbursement methods and correct remittance details.
  • Collaborate on outgoing payments and resolve issues that arise during the payment cycle
  • Conduct regular reviews of vendor master modifications to ensure compliance and integrity.
  • Complete scheduled check runs, ACH batches, and other payment processes in accordance with deadlines.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, including pricing conflicts, missing documents, and other exceptions identified through workflow or scanning systems.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances, duplicate postings, or aged items
  • Address invoices routed to the scanning exception or error queue and ensure they are corrected and processed
  • Support monthly close, reporting requirements, and audit‑related requests
Qualifications
  • Preference (not required) for Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–5 years of accounts payable experience preferred
  • Ideal candidates will have experience working in SAP ERP program
  • Thorough and professional communicator with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
