Staff Accountant

LaSalle Network has partnered with a Chicago-based company seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join their team. This contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional ready to contribute to a high-performing finance team. This position offers hybrid flexibility (2 days onsite) in downtown Chicago.

• Monitor and record prepaid expenses and accruals within the general ledger
• Perform and maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as required
• Provide support across General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions
• Gather and analyze financial data to assist in the preparation of reports and statements
• Contribute to the month-end close process and participate in special projects as needed

• 2+ years of experience within accounting
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting
• Proven experience preparing and maintaining balance sheet account reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
• Experience working within Concur
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred

Compensation: $28-33/hr
