- Valid LPN/RN Nursing License (required by the state)
- Ability to promote and facilitate teamwork

- In-depth knowledge of nursing procedures, medical regulations, and infection control policies
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to make independent decisions in critical situations
- Develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plans
- Collaborate with facility leaders, physicians, and local, state, and national agencies to ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols
- Oversee operations related to infection prevention, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and safety programs
- Participate in national collaboratives and external reporting to CDC NHSN and other post-acute care quality organizations
- Provide ongoing infection control education and intervention to staff, volunteers, and medical personnel
- Monitor healthcare infection trends, investigate outbreaks, and ensure compliance with infection prevention policies
