General

Purpose of Job

The Director, Investment, Digital provides senior leadership to the team responsible for placing, confirming and monitoring digital media orders to ensure the clients’ advertising program is executed flawlessly. The successful Director provides a high level of media expertise to assigned accounts as the functional leader of the team, and by navigating the complexities of digital advertising to provide a seamless, accurate, and accountable media experience for internal and external clients.

The Director provides ongoing communication, consulting, insight, analysis, and recommendations regarding digital media, including emerging trends. The Director is also responsible for identifying and developing the talent needed to function as a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive digital marketing plans that incorporate paid digital media (programmatic, search, social media) and other relevant channels to drive client success.
  • Lead a team of managers and staff responsible for delivering exceptional results across several clients.
  • Educate, ideate and support training teams in the development of digital strategies, best practices, and idea generation; ensure teams are set-up to support the media and buying process including research, plan development, campaign set-up, launch, and optimization.
  • Oversee agency processes to ensure execution, optimization, and best practices are followed across teams; collaborate with leadership and peers to identify and develop new workflow processes, as needed, that will enhance our operational efficiency, tools, and systems, and improve current workflows.
  • Create and manage the development of media strategy and recommendations; participate in the development and presentation of client proposals, including the roles of different digital channels within a connections strategy.
  • Provide proactive POV documentation regarding important industry trends for key internal and external stakeholders. Keep a finger on the pulse of the ever-changing landscape of digital advertising, including new technology, AI and evolving platforms.
  • Ensure infrastructure exists to facilitate digital campaigns with flawless execution of assigned media buys.
  • Primary focus on digital strategy, marketplace intelligence, and thought leadership for all client relationships.
  • Lead advancements in the analysis and interpretation of data trends and develop improvement solutions; educate executive stakeholders internally and externally on changes to marketplace conditions.
  • Represent agency to senior vendor contacts to analyze value and applicability of media vehicles/tactics for plan consideration.
  • Participate in new business activities and pitches, as assigned, including the development of RFP responses, proposals and presentations.
  • Responsible for managing a team of direct reports (remote and across all Rise locations) with accountability for all aspects of team oversight, including employee onboarding, employee training, employee performance (accountability and behavior), employee retention.
