Data Center Network Associate

Data Center Network Associate – Chicago, IL (Onsite) – 10+ Month Contract

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and service-focused individual to join our team as a Data Center Network Associate supporting our data center in ORD. In this role, you will be responsible for providing intelligent hands and eyes support in their Data Center, administration of DCIM tooling (DCTrack) for management of the Data Center, and support for the Networking, Server and customer equipment.

• Managing requests from the ticketing system and coordinating those actions with prioritization.
• Continuously improve your knowledge of clients products and services to provide accurate and relevant information to the customers of clients Data Center
• Perform Administrative tasks, Learn and use DCIM tooling (DCTrack) to record things like:
  Power Management, Usage, Serial Numbers, Equipment Locations, Accepting, closing and re‑directing service tickets
• Networking and Data Center:
  Deploy Cabinets (Cabinet, equipment and power), Install and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic connections, Provide configuration assistance as requested by Network Engineering Leads
• Server and other Infrastructure:
  Deploy Equipment, assist in troubleshooting as requested, Initial configuration of Server and Storage (like iDRAC and management ports), Identify and elevate priority issues to the appropriate departments or individuals, Coordinate with Data Center Vendors

• Wiring and Cable management Experience required
• Willingness to follow instructions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in using computer software and tools, such as Microsoft Office and Service Now.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays (on occasion).
