- Help students function effectively in the school environment
- Assess areas in which students may require assistance or mental health counseling
- Communicate with parents, teachers and administrators
- Maintain accurate case files and reports to track student issues and progress
- Assist in remediation by providing treatment plans or counseling
- Evaluate student transcripts
- Participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process as necessary
- Role primarily consists of serving IEP and 504 minutes
- Attending IEP/504 meetings
- Writing all social emotional components of the IEP or 504 (student behavior data, IEP goals and benchmarks, and accommodations and modifications).
- Member of the MTSS team.
- Graduate of an accredited Social Work program. Current licensure and eligibility as a Medical Social Worker.
- Current BLS Certification.
- PEL endorsement required
- SSW endorsement required
