OVERVIEW

The Pritzker Administration is seeking a Rapid Response Coordinator to support the communication team’s real-time rapid response efforts. The successful candidate will be an exceptional researcher who brings creativity and attention to detail to the role and someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Reports to Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications.
  • Works closely with the communications team to develop collateral, including fact sheets, backgrounder documents and supports rapid response efforts on key issues.
  • Supports real-time media and social media monitoring efforts to aid the communications team response efforts.
  • Closely tracks key issue areas and flags notable updates for the communications team. Shares resources to support developing key messages.
  • Coordinates with subject matter experts on distilling complex issue areas.
  • Helps fact check salient issues and statements in real time.
  • Manages historical libraries of past statements, quotes, and press clips.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of communications and media relations experience preferred.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong written skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team and elevate potential opportunities or challenges to leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, work well under tight deadlines, and readily adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
