Apprentice Electrician – Job Description (Wyoming)
Hourly Pay: $17–$25
Role SummaryThis position is for early‑career electricians who have completed or are actively progressing through a Wyoming‑approved electrical apprenticeship program. Apprentice Electricians support licensed Journeyman and Master Electricians on commercial and industrial projects. Because this is a safety‑sensitive role, dependable attendance, safe work habits, and compliance with all testing and certification requirements are essential.
Work Schedule- Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Overtime: Built‑in 10 hours of OT per week
- Total Weekly

Approximately 50 hours
This schedule provides steady overtime and predictable weekly earnings.
Responsibilities- Assist with installing, altering, repairing, and connecting electrical wiring, equipment, and systems under supervision
- Interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and drawings with guidance
- Prepare job sites by organizing tools, materials, and work areas
- Support troubleshooting efforts to identify hazards, defects, and system issues
- Follow all safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions
- Work with foremen, Journeymen, and other trades to support project timelines
- Participate in required safety meetings, training sessions, and skill‑development activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
- Assist during emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong willingness to learn
- Completion of, or active enrollment in, a Wyoming‑recognized electrical apprenticeship program
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Basic understanding of electrical theory, tools, and safety practices
- Willingness to obtain OSHA‑10 certification if not already held
- Ability to pass a mandatory 10‑panel drug test
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and learn new tasks quickly
- Exposure to commercial or industrial construction environments
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment
- Hourly pay: $17–$25

- Clear advancement pathway toward Journeyman licensure in Wyoming
- Consistent commercial and industrial project work
