Cable Technician -WY

Overview

The Field Service Technician will be required to perform both in-shop and field service work. Plans and coordinates activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties.

• Install equipment and perform in-shop and field service activities.
• Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment.
• Eliminate future operational or service difficulties by addressing root causes and documenting resolutions.

• A high school diploma or equivalent; or industry-related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Basic mechanical aptitude; prior customer service experience in-field support.
• Ability to read with comprehension and write documents (such as customer correspondences, memos, and reports) in English.
• Ability to perform basic math and solve simple equations.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to after-hour service calls when required.
• Preferred qualifications:
  
  Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical or related; basic electrical understanding; experience with test equipment and reading schematics; hands-on job experience in electrical field where applicable.
• Driving requirements: valid driver’s license and safe driving record; able and willing to travel to customer sites, overnight travel; must be at least 18 to drive a company vehicle; able and willing to operate a forklift.

Entry Level

This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.

• The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
