The individual in this position is responsible for the direction, coordination and supervision of the Company Health and Safety Program and Policies at a single job site located in Cheyenne, WY. This individual will plan, lead, and direct the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures for this job site and execute other assigned duties. This individual communicates all branch safety and risk data to the area manager.
This position is located in, or requires daily commuting to Cheyenne, WY.
The salary range for this position is $40-55/hour, depending on experience.
Job Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in safety and health, risk control or related areas is preferred
- Relative experience in safety, health, risk control, the fire protection industry / construction may supplement bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of construction safety/risk experience is required
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Blue Beam Revu; PDF is preferred
- Exceptional planning, time-management and follow-through
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (Domestic)
- Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion
- Approved OSHA 500 trainer, preferred
- Professional registration/certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, ARM, and/or CIH) preferred
- Ability to review, analyze and discuss safety/risk information and data
- Ability to work effectively with a team and independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and complex situations
- Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training software
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Outdoor activity may involve walking/trekking in uneven terrain over long distances in extreme weather conditions for extended periods
- Attendance at meetings (in-person and virtual); speaking on the phone with peers and clients; required
- Ability to visually inspect job sites and perform post-accident investigations; various vision abilities required
