Job Overview

RME Holdings & Operations, LLC is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial, and hands-on Landscaping Manager to lead daily operations at our Cheyenne-based nursery. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about plants and customer service, and who enjoys both business development and operational oversight. You will be responsible for managing retail and commercial sales, maintaining plant health and inventory, overseeing staff, and building relationships with landscapers, suppliers, and local agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network with local landscapers, businesses, and agencies to build trust, grow sales, and secure referrals
  • Open and manage daily nursery operations for both retail and commercial customers
  • Inspect, accept, or reject plant deliveries; ensure proper unloading and storage
  • Maintain plant health through watering, pruning, shading, mulching, and more
  • Assist walk-in customers with plant selection, questions, and sales
  • Maintain accurate plant inventory and submit timely reorders as needed
  • Invoice customers, process payments, and follow up on accounts receivable
  • Oversee scheduling, coordination, and execution of planting services
  • Supervise nursery staff and provide direction and oversight of daily tasks
  • Keep the nursery clean, organized, and customer-friendly at all times
  • Develop delivery schedules and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Support marketing efforts, including social media and promotional events
  • Operate nursery equipment (tractor, skid loader) for safe loading/unloading
  • Contribute to nursery layout design and assist with future propagation planning
  • Resolve customer service issues quickly and professionally
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure successful nursery operations
Qualifications
  • Experience in nursery or landscape operations strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage teams and build customer relationships
  • Knowledge of plant care, nursery layout, and landscaping trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Proficient in basic business functions: invoicing, inventory, customer service
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Equipment experience (tractor, skid steer) or willingness to learn

Schedule

Full-Time - Monday to Friday (Saturdays or weekend work may be required during peak seasons)

Location

Cheyenne, WY - On-site nursery location with occasional off-site meetings or supplier visits
