Magnum Services is a well cementing and fluids services company with a broad North American footprint. We provide primary and remedial (P&A) oilfield cementing, downhole isolation technologies, soil stabilization, and fluid services, applicable across industries such as oil and gas, agriculture, construction, roads and infrastructure, laydown yards, and retention ponds. Responsibilities- Operate equipment in areas including utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and digging.
- Operate hydrovac equipment safely and professionally.
- Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for operation.
- Ensure all equipment and components are in good working condition.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections following Magnum’s policies and procedures for routine maintenance.
- Safely and efficiently load and chain down equipment for transport.
- Understand load securement and hours of service regulations.
- Follow all local, provincial, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
- Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices. Follow safety standards set by Magnum and the customer.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation within set timelines, including daily logs, dispatch and trip reports, and timesheets.
- Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Perform general housekeeping to keep units clean and operating properly.
- Keep the shop and yard clean, including floors, washrooms, and wash bay.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Other related duties as required.
- Class 3 or 1 (Canada) / Class A CDL (U.S.) license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum one year of hydrovac operating experience.
- Knowledge of basic underground utilities.
- Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg, bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods and in all types of weather conditions.
- Willing to travel for assignments, up to two weeks at a time. Accommodations provided.
- Willing to support other business lines in the off season.
- Able to work overtime and travel.
- Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
- Experience in a similar environment (shop sites, remote locations).
- Knowledge of Federal Hours of Service.
- Paperwork and computer skills with the ability to make timely submissions.
- Maintenance knowledge, mechanically inclined, with the ability to troubleshoot.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
- Flexible and able to adapt to change.
- Understands the importance of safety.
- Team player and customer service focused.
- Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented.
- Possesses safety tickets.
- Experience dealing with customers.
