Aircraft Mechanic Security Clearance

Position: AIRCRAFT MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Duties This position is located within the 153d Maintenance Squadron (153 MXS), 153d Air Base Group (153 ABG), 153d Airlift Wing (153 AW), Wyoming Air National Guard. Its primary purpose is to inspect, repair, modify, and service aircraft systems, components, and assemblies, both on- and off-aircraft. (1) Performs inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft to include periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, postflight, calendar, thru-flight, and special inspections such as fuel contamination, emergency equipment, and oil sampling.

(2) Troubleshoots and performs unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft, utilizing various gauges, meters, measuring devices and other related test equipment. (3) May be required to perform user and organizational level maintenance on assigned support equipment, including inspection, repair, modification, and corrosion prevention. (4) Provides data for aircraft maintenance historical records, complete maintenance data collection, man-hour accounting, and other forms as required.

(5) Instructs, directs, and assigns maintenance repair tasks to drill status guard members.

Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members. Must submit vMPF Rip, DVR, or CDB with resume Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. CONDITIONS:

Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. If you have questions regarding these bonuses/incentives, contact  for assistance. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).

Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized. PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives. If selected, you will be required to relocate at your own expense. Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f). CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 MXS. Area 2:
All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4:
