Aircraft Mechanic Security Clearance

Position: AIRCRAFT MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Duties The primary purpose of this position is to inspect, repair, modify, and service C-130 aircraft systems, components, and assemblies, both on- and off-aircraft. (1) Performs inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft to include periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, postflight, calendar, through-flight, and special inspections such as fuel contamination, emergency equipment, and oil sampling. (2) Troubleshoots and performs unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft, utilizing various gauges, meters, measuring devices and other related test equipment.

(3) May be required to perform user and organizational level maintenance on assigned support equipment, including inspection, repair, modification, and corrosion prevention. (4) Provides data for aircraft maintenance historical records, complete maintenance data collection, man-hour accounting, and other forms as required. (5) Instructs, directs, and assigns maintenance repair tasks to drill status guard members.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Open to current or prior service active duty, reserve or national guard members of one of the branches of the US Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, or Coast Guard. Military members:
Submit vMPF Rip, DVR, CDB, STP, ERS, MBS, or PDR with resume. Prior service members:
Submit a DD Form 214. Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. To inquire about Recruiting into the WY Air National Guard, contact  for assistance. Must possess or be able to obtain AFSC 2A571, Airlift/Special Mission Aircraft Maintenance. Recruitment/Relocation Incentives ARE NOT authorized. PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period. Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f). EMPLOYMENT

CONDITIONS:

Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
2. Covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4:

Current and prior military service members separated from any branch of the military to include US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, Reserves, and National Guard components.
