We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation and Pension (C&P) Examinations for Veterans and separating military members in Cheyenne. This is a crucial role where you act as a medical investigator, ensuring our nation’s heroes receive the benefits they deserve through thorough and accurate disability evaluations.
The Role:Investigative, Not Treatment-Based
In this position, you will not be providing bedside care, prescribing medication, or managing long-term treatments. Instead, you will focus on:
- Comprehensive Evaluations: Conducting in-depth histories and physicals for Veterans seeking benefits for service-connected health issues.
- Clinical Research: Reviewing extensive medical records via a cloud-based EHR to identify health trends and service connections.
- DBQs & SHAs: Performing Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) and Separation Health Assessments (SHA) for members exiting the military.
- Medical Opinions: Providing evidence-based diagnoses and medical opinions that directly impact a Veteran’s claim.

Schedule:

- Licensure: Must hold a valid, unrestricted NP license (Wyoming).
- Skillset: Strong physical assessment skills, keen attention to detail, and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Commitment: Ability to submit clinical findings within 24 hours of the examination.
Professional clinical attire, including scrubs or business traditional attire (blouses, dress slacks, skirts below the knee, and closed-toe shoes).
