The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a Temporary Construction Technician in Cheyenne, WY to perform basic construction tasks under supervision to provide a safe and effective transportation system. This is a temporary, full‑time position that could last up to 9 months.

Essential Functions- Perform basic laboratory tests and survey procedures
- Conduct construction inspections
- Prepare and check computations and data
Preference may be given to individuals who can perform algebraic calculations.
Knowledge- Knowledge of materials testing
- Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operations
- Knowledge of construction inspection, including interpretation of plans and specifications
- Skill in the use of computers
- Strong math skills are required
- Ability to perform algebraic calculations

Physical Working Conditions- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Available to work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
