Digital Media / Production, Technical Writer
Under close supervision, maintains Laramie County's internet and intranet. Maintains archiving and access control of all Laramie County social media accounts. Develops technical documentation and training materials. Manages all A/V producing and editing of Laramie County public meetings and assist other offices with digital media creation.

- Provides technical support, training, and assistance to staff in County departments.
- Responds to service requests and calls for assistance; determines problems and resolves or forwards work orders to appropriate personnel; documents call records and results.
- Provides live streaming production for all public County meetings.
- Maintains County audio-video equipment.
- Maintains access and access controls for all County social media accounts and assist with content management.
- Develops training documentation, videos, write-ups, guides, FAQ, and other training materials for all county technology.
- Works with County departments to update County website and intranet site.
- Edits and produces Laramie County digital media as requested.
- Archives all social media and digital media as required by Wyoming statute.
- Generates reports on social media and website access.
- Creates clear, accurate and accessible documentation for technical or specialized subjects.
- Works to promote departmental Vision, Mission, and Values in all work activities.
- Complies with all county equipment, safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
High school diploma or GED equivalent, AND one (1) year of digital media training, social media, or website design experience; OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; AND successful completion of a criminal history and background check.
Knowledge and Skills- Knowledge of County and Information Technology policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of digital audio and video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
- Knowledge of web design principles and HTML/CSS.
- Knowledge of technical writing.
- Knowledge of training and documentation best practices.
- Knowledge of video editing software and live streaming solutions.
- Knowledge of audio-video solutions and best practices.
- Knowledge of social media account management and archiving practices.
- Knowledge of digital media creation platforms.
- Ability to create a workplace that prioritizes customer satisfaction.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage resources, time, and finances.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
