Construction Inspector – Part-Time - Laramie or Cheyenne, WY

This position focuses on providing construction administration, observation, monitoring and reporting services for regional public and private sectors, focused on civil infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will assist with providing quality construction administration and observation services for municipalities and private clients addressing civil infrastructure needs and improvements. You will work with a project team developing and understanding construction plans and specifications for infrastructure systems including water, sanitary sewer, transportation, civil site, and stormwater. In this role, you will have responsibilities such as:

Performing constructability reviews

Preparing quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates

Understanding contract documents

Reviewing contractor payment applications

Preparing daily reports

Qualifications

Applicants must have the ability to effectively interpret and communicate plans and specification requirements, and support funding program requirements. This role will serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, and Trihydro personnel. Applicants must have a clean driving record and a demonstrated commitment to safe operations. This position requires significant fieldwork and travel.

This role is for you if:

You have 7-10+ years relevant construction inspection experience, including administration, observation, monitoring and reporting activities related to civil infrastructure and water and/or wastewater systems.

You are comfortable reviewing and interpreting construction plans and specifications.

You are a strong communicator, both orally and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

You are comfortable with daily computer use and working with contractors and around heavy equipment.

You possess strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, accuracy and completeness, and a commitment to producing high-quality project deliverables.

You have willingness to travel to job sites, sometimes for extended periods, located throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

You understand the importance of time management and possess excellent organization skills.

You must meet internal requirements for operation of company vehicles throughout duration of employment and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
