OPEN UNTIL FILLED GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Senior Business Registrar position oversees the adherence of registered companies to Wyoming's business laws by reviewing and filing documents related to business formations, annual reports, name changes, reinstatements, trademarks, mergers, and related administrative paperwork. Other responsibilities include recording and releasing UCC and EFS liens under the Uniform Commercial Code and Central Filing System, working with registered agents to ensure proper compliance with the Registered Offices and Agents Act, certifying business documents, and using custom software for managing business and commercial transaction records.
This position provides a superior level of customer service and communicates regularly through email, phone, and in person with business owners, attorneys, registered agents, business community members and the general public.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Conducts detailed technical reviews of forms related to business entities, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, Effective Financing Statements (EFS) and other statutorily authorized filings. Files or rejects such documents based on statutory requirements, administrative rules and agency policies within a statutory time frame.
- Provides superior customer service on behalf of the Division, handling inquiries from business owners, attorneys, corporate officers, registered agents, and the general public through phone, email and in-person.
- Manages several shared email accounts on behalf of the Division and fields non‑compliance issues.
- Corresponds regularly with commercial registered agents in the state to ensure proper compliance with the Registered Offices and Agents Act.
- Uses custom software programs to scan, record, update, receipt, retrieve and certify business documents and commercial transaction records.
- Manages and processes various statutorily authorized miscellaneous filings and processes certified copy requests, generates original certificates of evidence, and works closely with the Compliance Division to ensure accurate and timely completion of apostilles.
- Provides training and mentorship to first level registrars.
- May work with Wyoming State Archives to prepare documents for archiving and retrieve previously archived documents.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preference may be given to those persons with the acquired knowledge level of a BAAS
06 or a Bachelor's Degree.
- Knowledge of Wyoming Statutes about Business Entities, Trademarks, Trade Names, UCC Filings, Effective Financing Statements.
- Knowledge of Business Division policies, procedures, and rules.
- Knowledge of records, database content, statistical information, and evidence of filing to prepare reports or special projects for the Director.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and business principles.
- Skill in customer service.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Business)
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Office Support Specialist II
OR
Education & Experience Substitution: 3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Office Support Specialist II

- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.
