Position: Staff Officer with Security Clearance

Job Description

As a Staff Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to senior executive by performing a variety of complex and routine administrative duties including follow-up tracking, coordinating through approval processes, and bringing to completion in support of the mission!

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Liaising with senior executives' staff in other agencies, congress, and White House to ensure required attendance and briefing materials are in sync.
  • Planning, scheduling, organizing, and executing meetings, conferences, and off-sites; may participate in meetings and events as a recorder or note taker. May brief or present administrative support related information.
  • Arranging travel, coordinating itineraries, or otherwise supporting travel including passport/visa requirements and travel and training vouchers.
  • Coordinating the day-to-day administrative activities for the component.
  • Coordinating and monitoring task completion of other contractors within the component.
  • Developing and/or maintaining component Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Drafting/editing correspondence, briefings, and presentations for the senior executive's review.
  • Quality checking all materials for the senior executives review and/or signature.
  • Coordinating with component staff to build read-ahead materials and briefing books to prepare senior executives for meetings, conferences, and other public events.
  • Researching and/or retrieving data and information from databases.
  • Vetting incoming correspondence, summarizing/highlighting key issues or topics, and following up to ensure proper and timely response.
  • Making all travel arrangements, both foreign and domestic, and preparing all expense documents related to the executive's travel.
  • Gathering budget requirements and/or monitoring spend plans related to project, function, or business area.
