Derbyshire County Council have an exciting opportunity for a
caring and determined
Community Care Worker to join the Chesterfield Locality.
Posts available are:
1 x Permanent, 37 hours per week
1 x Fixed Term 18 hours and 30 minutes per week.

The position is within a busy social work team with an
experienced and committed
group of colleagues,supported by a highly competent Practice Supervisor and experienced Team Manager.
We are looking for
motivated and dedicated
applicants who can demonstrate a passion for working with vulnerable individuals within society and making a difference to children and families.
The role involves a range of tasks linked to social work practice in the locality including.
- Parenting assessments
- Supporting family time
- Direct work with children
- Supporting plans for children and families.
- Engaging with other agencies and partner organisations
- NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards once in post (refer to job and person profile for more information).
- Experience of creating rapport and building effective relationships with families.
- Knowledge of Child Protection, child development and parenting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent assessment and IT skills.
Our Community Care Worker Role attracts a starting salary of £29,719 with annual increments to £31,691 pro rata.
