Sales Administrator

AB Hoses & Fittings Ltd (AB Rail) has been a leading supplier of sander system parts and bespoke sander systems for the UK Rail Industry since the 1990s. Based in Chesterfield, the company also provides fluid transfer systems, including hoses, pumps, motors, and fittings, to industries such as railway, defence, and marine. Known for their award-winning "Advanced Automatic Sander" systems, AB delivers innovative solutions for rolling stock manufacturers, operators, and maintainers.

Their range of services covers parts supply, repair, overhaul, engineering consultancy, and new system design and installation. With UK-designed and manufactured products and a localised supply chain, AB is RISQS registered and assured for all sander and hose-related activities.

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chesterfield as a Sales Administrator. A Sales Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the sales team and ensuring efficient and effective communication between the sales department and other departments within the organisation. They play a vital role in ensuring that sales targets are achieved and customers' needs are met.

Working hours- 8am-4pm Monday-Friday with the possibility of 6am-2pm on a Friday if better suited.

• Provide administrative support to the sales team, including order placement, preparing sales reports, maintaining sales records, and responding to customer queries
• Coordinate and schedule order book meetings and appointments, including preparing meeting agendas and taking meeting minutes
• Collaborate with other departments within the organisation to ensure that all customer needs are met, including coordinating with the operations, engineering and quality teams.
• Assist in the preparation of sales proposals and presentations
• Ensure that all sales documentation is accurate and up to date, including managing the sales database
• Provide support for sales events, conferences, and exhibitions
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of sales training programs

• GCSE's in Maths & English or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a sales administration role, preferably within a manufacturing background
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in Sage 200 is a bonus, but not a requirement.
